Love. Want. NEED

My 'summer' wardrobe has well and truly been exhausted. The winter woolies and heavy coats have been resurrected and the weather has certainly taken a turn for the worst. There's not a day now where I can leave the house minus a coat.

Bring out the khaki (I really have a soft spot for the colour - especially when my jacket collection is concerned), seek out the cosy knitwear, and find a hardy pair of boots.

My autumn/winter Lust List:

  • Camouflage - a few months ago I had repeatedly declared how I wouldn't give in to buying a camo jacket. Now it seems like a basic human right!

  • The Disco Pant - In navy, I might add. Though I love my trusty skinny jeans, these add a dimension of interest to any dull winter ensemble

  • Oversized Knits - I cannot begin to profess my love of all things knitted and oversized. Comfy, cosy and stylish.

  • The leather backpack - I purchased one of the vintage variety a few weeks back, from Shutterbug (my favourite shop ever!), in tan colour.

  • Sequins - A necessity to brighten up any outfit, perfect day or night, while also adding glam and lustre

What are your Winter staples? Do share!

The Lust List

I realise that it has been a while since I have done a post of this sort.
Strange considering that I become inspired and fascinated by things so quickly.
So here is a short culmination of bits and bobs that I am swooning after and lusting over right now:

I am just entering the final week of my current Design Doma diary this week. The cuteness of these products are so great that I just had to hop online to order me a new one.

These Coltrane cutout boots by Jeffrey Campbell are my absolute MUST for the winter season ahead.

Loving quirky and creative interiors at the moment. I don't know why exactly but I am going with it.

Love Madame Juliette above and her collection of awesome leggings make me want some.

Old habits die hard...floral, in jumpsuit form, swoon.

And this beauty...well I just cannot resist

Nailing it!

I found myself drooling at the mouth whilst pouring over this months issue of ELLE UK.
It had nothing to do with the semi-naked, oh-so-fine Mr. Beckham on the from cover either!
Page after page were covetable manicures. Nail art at it's finest.
I love experimenting with different crazy colours and nail trends but for some reason it seemed so much more apparent in this issue that any other previous.
It set me off, lusting (yet again) for some whacky, creative nail art and below are just a few of my favourites.
Now to choose one...

The Lust List

It has been a while since I have compiled my latest Lust List, and it's not like it isn't healthily growing every single day!

Here is what I am swooning and pining for.
Let them be mine!

The Lust List: Inspiration post

I realise that its been a while since I have done an inspiration post, nonetheless I am very very excited with fashion right now. The monsoon showers in Dublin are really insisting that I dredge through the inter-web where I am indeed stumbling upon precious beauties!
Fueling my already 'I have a full wardrobe but nothing to wear' syndrome.

Brace yourselves...

Loving...actually...obsessing over the immaculate collection of jewel collars by Joanne Hynes right now. Yes they do cost a small fortune (ahem talking in the region of €500) but a girl can drool, right?

(via Bubbles on Pinterest)

I am loving studded jackets. I love the image above simply because the jacket is so wearable. There's no punk rock goth essence to it. Paired with coloured jeans its brilliant.

I am indeed an avid wearer of denim cut-off shorts, particularly of the frayed vintage sort.
Above are the new, eagerly anticipated popping pink shorts from The Silver Factory. As modeled by Blanaid from Shutterbug, I cannot contain my excitement, for these shall be mine!

I'm excited for this jacket to land at H&M for their line Fashion Against AIDS.
As modelled by my favourite blogger, Aimee Song, I want...

Now where to get me some moolah, hmmmmmm...

Wishful Thinking: Inspiration Post #2

It seems ironic that with all the flamboyant, vibrant colours adorning the new spring collections on th high street that the Irish weather has turned drastically cold!

Trawling through the shops on my lunch break I 'ohh' and 'ah' at the beautiful garments that I would love to wear, and the amazing sunny weather conjured in my idyllic daydreams is suddenly shattered by the stark reality of the grey bitter wilderness...not ideal!

How and ever I will still wistfully ponder about what trends I intend to embrace for the season ahead and share with you my pick and mix of dolly mix.

As an avid, devoted lover of floral, this one is right up my street! In search of the perfect jumpsuit for spring time.

My ring obsession is steadily developing, as is the size of my collection. Eyeing up some beauties in Aldo at the moment, cannot wait to get my hands on them!

via Silver Factory

These t-shirts have been on my list for a while but alas I have purchased this one! Graphic tee to the rescue, (que excited giggle)

via Song of Style

Mint green jeans are a must for me, now in terms of finding the perfect pair, let the search commence.
Also adore the sorbet multi-coloured nails and the layering of the arm candy and just everything about it...

Just a glimpse of my growing lust list.
What's on your lust list for the coming season, do share please

Wishful thinking: Inspiration Post #1

Do you ever get to the stage of reading whats seems like millions of fashion blogs, magazines, viewing photo galleries, mood boards...the list goes on...and still you have NOTHING to blog about?

It seems strange being so immersed in the creative world of clothing yet so removed from updating you last blog post.
Writers block, you are a divil!

So instead of resigning myself from the blogging world, I have taken the initiative to do a bit of an inspiration post/lust list update.

Low and behold, my new found fancies:

I know I have posted this beauty before, but alas I would be homeless if I was to take the plunge and by it...rent comes first! (ASOS)

In love with all neck pieces, bejeweled and chunky. This one vintage Chanel...I can dream

Loving the new tribal inspired lines of the moment, toughened with black biker jacket yet a romantic touch with a rose cropped shirt (Nastygal)

Turquoise stones pop on a nude, minimalistic palette - I'm hooked (Nastygal)

Layering bracelets is so refreshing and with an array of colours as featured on Aimee Song's arm, brighten up any dark outfits

I actually have this pink jumper (Zara) and coincidently I wore it last week upon starting my new course with black disco pants, my hair in a top know, somewhat similar to Chiara Ferragni (lookbook.nu)

*********
I have just embarked upon a fashion styling course with LA Make Up Academy here in Dublin.
I am so excited about it and so far so good it is exceeding my expectations.
Watch this space for regular updates, photoshoots and styling.

Also, my main inspiration boards can be found here on Pinterest, follow me if you like what you see!

My Muse

You all know I'm a huge fan of unique, individual, new discoveries.
I'm an even bigger fan when I learn that my newest discovery is by Irish designers.
On that note I am super thrilled to introduce you to Mo Muse jewelry by designer Margaret O'Rourke.

O'Rourke is just one of three who run of the amazing yet quaint Bow boutique, in the Powerscourt Centre in the heart of Dublin city.
I first came across the delicate beauties that belong to the jewelry line Mo Muse whilst working at Stellar a few weeks back.
The delicate, sophisticated, authentic pieces are truly beautiful, unique and definitely cater to individual tastes.
Also incredibly budget friendly, I know where I shall be purchasing staple jewelry pieces at affordable pieces that will last for years.

I'm so excited to have found this line and I cannot wait to get saving for the newest additions on the Lust List.

Truly exquisite, classic and beautiful, put them on the top of you Christmas list

Available to buy in-store at Bow boutique, or online at style-tonic (some pieces are excluded from the online store)

Ladies of the Rings

Caggie: Turquoise rings, multi-couloured nails and a nice bit of arm candy

Rosie: A creative minimalist. Gold band rings courtesy of Margiela @net-a-porter

I'm not one to get hooked on reality TV shows (ahem...I never followed The Hills or The City, I swear!)
but I've only recently been able to catch the remarkable 'Made In Chelsea.'

Their snobbery and fake 'kiss babes lols' greetings do grate on my nerves just a little but I still find the whole thing quite enjoyable.
Enviable wardrobes, thanks Daddy, that are strictly not high street really do make me swoon.
Some characters wearing run of the mill, 'I have lots of money so I shall wear designers on my forehead' but there are a few who have an original authentic sense of style.
My favourites being Caggie and Rosie, two of the characters who have a sort of creative, alternative, inspiring sense of style and a very keen eye for selecting a good set of rings.
This is where my swooning begins.

Caggie sports two rings, one larger than the other with turquoise stones, perfectly offset by her quirky multicoloured nail varnish, which I adore.

Rosie on the other hand is known for her signature three rose gold rings which are by Maison Martin Margiela btw, but they are in fact pretty awesome.

I know what's on my lust list this Christmas...though I might have to settle for something a little less...couture!

Stud Muffin

River Island €100

a la Chiara Feragni...250 squids

I am in search of boots.
Goodness knows I have enough pairs already but I want a new pair.
I need a new pair.
Only problem is I don't know what exactly I want.

A brown knee-high riding boot? A low ankle boot with a classic mid heel?
Brown or black?
Come on these are big decisions here people!

I came across this beauty the other week and I tempted myself further today by trying them on.
Black biker boot, heavy studded embellishment, very daring, quite grungy but WOW are they amazing!
I immediately compared them to ones I have seen time and time again...
they are very similar to Chiara Feragni's (of The Blonde Salad fame) design which retails at €250.
Though hers are not overly expensive (swear I'm not counting my cents as I type!) I am leaning towards the River Island equivalent...

What's a girl to do...

A deal with the devil!

I'm baaa--aaack!
My sincerest apologies for the abysmal lack of blogging over the past few weeks. I have been super busy moving into my new house, where internet was lacking until yesterday. So let this be my debut post from my new humble abode, which is super cute may I add.
I have also started an internship with Stellar magazine so I'm rushed off my feet but absolutely loving it!

Let me tell you all about the deal I made with my best friend. Bear in mind that we are both addicted to shopping, no matter how tight the funds are - who needs food when clothes are concerned eh?
So, yesterday, she crossed over my new threshold donning a brand spanking new outfit!
Not acceptable, given that anytime this girl enters a shop she spends and exits with at least one item to add to her wardrobe (Like I can talk...ahem!)
We struck a deal - we will not purchase any clothing from now until Christmas!
Tough? Definitely!
Possible? Here's hoping!

In order to ease the torment and the temptation, I am adding to the lust list.
For now, here are a few pieces that WILL be mine, eventually!
Drool, adore, dream...these tantalizing treats will hopefully keep my shopping itch at ease until Christmas time.

New Found Treasure

The past few weeks, I've been wandering around the shops, you know the same old same old shops, the old reliables, the ones where EVERYBODY shops?????
I want different.
I want individual.
I want mine!
I have discovered the hidden treasure chest that is Anarchy Street, and my, do they resonate my personal almost identically!
It's uncanny.
They stock retro-look, vintage-inspired, laid-back items that scream California chic at you.
Prices are not bad either. Fabulous jewelry and unique pieces this is going to be a definite stop shop for me from now on.
I think a break from the high street is a must whilst vintage shopping entices me and online havens meet my taste my fashion habits are undergoing a bit of a change.
Anarchy Street - a definite for the 'lust list.'

All I need now is an overflowing bank account and all will be right in the world! YUM!
