A Stylist Sunday: Photo Shoot 3

Yes, I do realize that this post is six days late but it is here nonetheless.
Last Sunday I had a big photo shoot, organized by yours truly from beginning to end.
The shoot had to be inspired by a fairytale.
You could say I was in my element!
My inspiration came from the tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
I wanted to take elements of the story for which it is renowned and taper them to a modern, contemporary lifestyle.
Without giving too much away, I may have taken the quote 'Mirror, mirror on the wall...' to life in the element of fashion.
The shoot went really smoothly and the results (what I've seen so far) are fantastic.
However the day would have been nothing had it not been for Lil Hustlers crew (from this seasons Got to Dance) who were a dream to work with.
They came to life in front of the camera, had myself and my team crying laughing at their 'supermodel' antics and wowed us at the end of the shoot with a little dance treat.
Here are just a few snapshots from behind the scenes, hope you like!

Absolutely Rosie
I think it appropriate to kick off the new blogging year with the World's Sexiest Woman, Rosie Huntington-Whitely.
Forgive me for not posting about her sooner, goodness knows I have been swooning over her work since forever ago, but alas, the hot babe in all her glory!
I love this editorial which is featured in the February issue of UK's Harpers Bazaar, photographed byTom Munro.
Natural glamour, an innocent alluring sexiness, and an authentic sixties twist make this breathtaking spread.
Very Hollywood, very Marilyn Munroe, very classic.

A lil bit of magic...
Christmas is looming, fairy lights are popping up here, there and everywhere, the Coca Cola ad has premiered for the 2011 Christmas Season.
As a result I'm feeling lots of layers, woolly jumpers, white, crisp, serene settings and the anticipation of a white Christmas.
My newest discovery has come totally on cue, and resonates innocence, love and serenity all in one.
I present Hollywood's exports of the moment, the Fanning sisters, Elle and Dakota, in their spread for W Magazine.
Photographed by the amazing Mario Sorrenti, it portrays the essence of high fashion, purity and notable beauty.
It reminds me somehow of raiding the treasure chest as a kid, dressing up in odd garments and crazy colours, nicely accessorized with mother's best heels and red lipstick over half my face.
With an air of character and a great sibling relationship and incredible maturity, this spread is magical.

A True Masterpiece
I love love LOVE this time of year.
The weather is changing, the wardrobe revolutionises and the September Issues hit the shelves!
Admittedly, I spent a lot of money purchasing this years selection of autumn issues. I'm pouring over them as if I was back studying for the Leaving Cert - crazy, I know.
I am in awe.
I am in shock.
I am terrified.
I am intrigued.
I am astonished.
The list shall go on but my goodness have LOVE produced a breathtakingly androgynous yet beautiful editorial shoot for this quarterly's issue.
'What Lies Beneath' is saturated by dark and dreary wondrous images encapsulating perfectly the issues theme of dark obsessions, fetishism, elfin fairytales, unremarkable unassuming beauty that resembles a twisted tale of Alice in Wonderland.
It is AMAZING!
They say a picture says a thousand words, with a 46 page spread, words can't do this magnificent production justice.
Innocently guilty, modestly corrupt, smoulderingly angelic, the entire creative concept is extravagantly ironic.
This certainly takes high-end creativity to a whole new level.
Check it out!
