Love. Want. NEED

My 'summer' wardrobe has well and truly been exhausted. The winter woolies and heavy coats have been resurrected and the weather has certainly taken a turn for the worst. There's not a day now where I can leave the house minus a coat.

Bring out the khaki (I really have a soft spot for the colour - especially when my jacket collection is concerned), seek out the cosy knitwear, and find a hardy pair of boots.

My autumn/winter Lust List:

  • Camouflage - a few months ago I had repeatedly declared how I wouldn't give in to buying a camo jacket. Now it seems like a basic human right!

  • The Disco Pant - In navy, I might add. Though I love my trusty skinny jeans, these add a dimension of interest to any dull winter ensemble

  • Oversized Knits - I cannot begin to profess my love of all things knitted and oversized. Comfy, cosy and stylish.

  • The leather backpack - I purchased one of the vintage variety a few weeks back, from Shutterbug (my favourite shop ever!), in tan colour.

  • Sequins - A necessity to brighten up any outfit, perfect day or night, while also adding glam and lustre

Girl Goes Grunge

I have been a sort of MIA from the blogosphere as of late, apologies for that.

Anyhow I thought I could try and make up for my absence with a little outfit post.

This shirt/jacket is from Zara. I picked it up back in July and I seriously wear it all the time!
The jewel embellishment on the pocket is just beautiful and oh-so on trend for A/W 2012.
I love how it adds a feminine touch to a somewhat grungy khaki shirt.
I also love how it seamlessly goes with almost everything in my wardrobe.

The shorts are from The Silver Factory. And, yes they were one of my lust-haves prior to the summer and I got great wear out of them the past little while.
AND, they're pink, enough said.

This was quite a casual outfit, no specific occasion to dress for so I kept it comfortable and relaxed.

Hope you like.

PS. I am sorry you have to be subject to that stray strand of hair sweeping across my forehead...driving me a little nuts here, grrrr...

Peekaboo!

A lil outfit post for ya'll this fine Wednesday evening (she says in enthusiasm while staring out at the bleary rain - bleugh!) Though autumn weather beckons, I had to post this look given that the touch of sunshine gives a feeling of summer - wishful thinking!
I bought this dress on my adventure to London a few weeks back and it' just so comfortable and easy to wear. This best part is that it is cut across the middle and held together by metal pieces that look exactly like body jewelry?! It's a bit edgier for me, I'm not usually a girl to wear a lot of black.
My hat is from Penneys would you believe but the quality suggests otherwise and I love the boho feel it adds. You can of course HYPE this look below, and let me know what you think?

The Lust List

I realise that it has been a while since I have done a post of this sort.
Strange considering that I become inspired and fascinated by things so quickly.
So here is a short culmination of bits and bobs that I am swooning after and lusting over right now:

I am just entering the final week of my current Design Doma diary this week. The cuteness of these products are so great that I just had to hop online to order me a new one.

These Coltrane cutout boots by Jeffrey Campbell are my absolute MUST for the winter season ahead.

Loving quirky and creative interiors at the moment. I don't know why exactly but I am going with it.

Love Madame Juliette above and her collection of awesome leggings make me want some.

Old habits die hard...floral, in jumpsuit form, swoon.

And this beauty...well I just cannot resist

Leather Cap

My latest outfit post consists of just some of my newfound treasures from my London trip.
I wasn't a huge fan of the midi length when it first reared its head but when I tried on this one, in all it's jersey loveliness, I changed my mind...slightly.
I had been trying to get my hands on a decent leather sleeved jacket and scored this one which is my new favourite thing in life.
I paired them with my trusty Jeffrey Campbells and gold accessories.

Girl About Town

The final two days of my London adventures brought shopping, lots of shopping.
Especially in the form of Topshop shopping!

As corny as it may sound, Topshop on Oxford Circus is one of my favourite places. The visual merchandising, the styling, the incredible displays, the CLOTHES...you get the picture yeah?

So I managed a nice haul of goodies from Topshop, some treats from MAC, and a few bargains from Zara.

We also made it our mission to hire the London Bikes and take a cycle around hyde park. It was so much fun. Literally taking a bike from one docking station and leaving it back whenever you wanted to another station. I felt like a kid at Christmas, racing around the roads, speeding down hills, wind in hair it was brilliant!

That brought our lil holiday to a close and back home to Ireland but boy did we have fun!

Hyde Park

Day 3 saw us wander off towards Camden Market, one of my favourite places for picking up little fun, unique bits and bobs. I picked up a gorgeous blazer with studded lapel from a little vintage pop up store that I adore. I will be featuring it very very soon. After Camden we headed for the city centre, and to say we walked the WHOLE of London is no exaggeration!!! Interrupted bus services and Olympic torch runs meant we were walking...everywhere! No matter it was great fun and we retired to Hyde Park that evening.
