Oh Fedora!
I am loving the fedora at the moment. The perfect compliment to any outfit, it adds a look of refinement, of polish, and of sheer loveliness.
Paired with anything from denim cut-offs and a breton top to fur coats and white shirts, the fedora is so versatile and so easily wearable.

Making a Comeback
It's been a while, since November 3rd, to be exact. No blog updates, hectic days and a busting schedule. But finally, a day off! And a brand swanking new crazy chronicle of what the heck I've been doing these past few weeks.
If any of you are regular commuters, I'm sure that the Metro Herald passes some time on your morning travels. And if that's the case, you may have come across my feature for the Clobber Blogger section which features regularly on a Thursday. I have featured the article below for you, and I must say it's quite a feeling to see your name (and face) on the pages of a national newspaper!
Moving swiftly on, I made an adventure across the pond, to Salt Lake City, just some weeks ago.
I spent a little over a week including Thanksgiving with my best friend, Aoife, who is in university there. I had an absolute ball, doing everything from ice-skating to midnight Black Friday shopping and some Cheesecake Factory dining in between! If any of you follow me on Instagram, I was trying to update my trip as much as possible.
Following my Thanksgiving break, I hopped on yet another plane, two days later, for an appointment in London, Oxford Circus to be precise. I'm sure at this point you all know of my love for London, and my weakness for shopping, namely in Topshop! Major splurge (even though I was there for less than 10 hours!) All in good time for Christmas though, making significant purchases for the holidays, including velvet and sequins (swoon!)
Other than that I have been majorly busy with work in the build up to Christmas. I also received some exciting news just the other week, and I will be starting a new job after the holidays - details to follow - but right now I am so ecstatic about it!
So there you have it, a short essay to explain my absence. I am truly hoping to get back on the blogging bandwagon and post more regularly.

All Black Everything
Just a quick outfit post for you all. Very black for me, admittedly but I do like the simpleness that comes with wearing black. Featuring my new cut-out boots, in 'Oxblood' colour and gold accessories.
I am truly drawn to anything with leather accents at the moment, this knitted sweater the perfect example with its leather-like sleeves.

POW-er Sweaters
The first, is rather proportionately larger, and houses my 'normal' clothes (aka shorts, skirts, dresses etc. etc.)
The second is my dancewear wardrobe. My cool, hip and happenin', ghetto groove, urban moves dancing staples. I'm talking quirky graphics, oversized sweats, crew neck sweaters and snapbacks.
Yes, I do agree my two wardrobes are worlds apart when it comes to the style stakes.
However what makes this fact relevant to this post is how current fashion habits are slowly bridging the gap between these two worlds (for me anyhow!)
The oversized, statement, graphic sweater is my ultimate go to when I'm hitting the studio to rehearse.
Never before would I have considered wearing them on an ongoing daily basis, never mind, God forbid, mixing and matching with my 'normal' clothes.
Boy how times have changed! Now and intrinsic staple in my daily outfitting, my crews get a girly touch when paired with floral, or a bold pop of colour with my many Levi cut-offs, patterned pants and accessories overload, I actually get excited seeing my worlds collide.
I am totally drooling over the crew neck of the moment, that green Kenzo...swoon!
For now though, I am staying true to my roots, the men's section of TK Maxx to score me some more treasures!

Wooly Jumpers
Heavy, hard-wearing knitwear is essentially a basic human right once the winter season kicks in. They say that a 'Winter Coat' is your main investment when it comes to initiating your new season wardrobe - this is how I feel about woolies.
Warm and cosy in a variety of shapes, styles and designs when it comes to knitwear variety is certainly available in abundance.
Over the past few years I have gathered quite an extensive collection of knitwear. Raiding the high street for good quality design, braving men's stores for that 'oversized' boyfriend fit, hitting up vintage shops tracking down one-of-a-kind knits that represent by-gone eras - it's all one big adventure.
Plus, the satisfaction of finding that ideal peace and relishing in it's newness makes it even more special.
However, I realize that there is a slight void when it comes to my wooly wardrobe - a sever lack of Irish made Aran knitwear. The shame!
So I have made a conscious decision. Rather than blowing my hard-earned dosh in Topshop or Urban Outfitters or wherever, I am going to keep it local.
Buy myself an authentic, hand-crafted, quintessentially Irish Aran cardigan.
Just in time for the Baltic season ahead!
In the meantime I have been rummaging online for such knitwear, have a peek:

Now, which one to choose...decisions...
