Making a Comeback

It's been a while, since November 3rd, to be exact. No blog updates, hectic days and a busting schedule. But finally, a day off! And a brand swanking new crazy chronicle of what the heck I've been doing these past few weeks.

If any of you are regular commuters, I'm sure that the Metro Herald passes some time on your morning travels. And if that's the case, you may have come across my feature for the Clobber Blogger section which features regularly on a Thursday. I have featured the article below for you, and I must say it's quite a feeling to see your name (and face) on the pages of a national newspaper!

Moving swiftly on, I made an adventure across the pond, to Salt Lake City, just some weeks ago.
I spent a little over a week including Thanksgiving with my best friend, Aoife, who is in university there. I had an absolute ball, doing everything from ice-skating to midnight Black Friday shopping and some Cheesecake Factory dining in between! If any of you follow me on Instagram, I was trying to update my trip as much as possible.

Following my Thanksgiving break, I hopped on yet another plane, two days later, for an appointment in London, Oxford Circus to be precise. I'm sure at this point you all know of my love for London, and my weakness for shopping, namely in Topshop! Major splurge (even though I was there for less than 10 hours!) All in good time for Christmas though, making significant purchases for the holidays, including velvet and sequins (swoon!)

Other than that I have been majorly busy with work in the build up to Christmas. I also received some exciting news just the other week, and I will be starting a new job after the holidays - details to follow - but right now I am so ecstatic about it!

So there you have it, a short essay to explain my absence. I am truly hoping to get back on the blogging bandwagon and post more regularly.

Peekaboo!

A lil outfit post for ya'll this fine Wednesday evening (she says in enthusiasm while staring out at the bleary rain - bleugh!) Though autumn weather beckons, I had to post this look given that the touch of sunshine gives a feeling of summer - wishful thinking!

I bought this dress on my adventure to London a few weeks back and it' just so comfortable and easy to wear. This best part is that it is cut across the middle and held together by metal pieces that look exactly like body jewelry?! It's a bit edgier for me, I'm not usually a girl to wear a lot of black.

My hat is from Penneys would you believe but the quality suggests otherwise and I love the boho feel it adds. You can of course HYPE this look below, and let me know what you think?

The final two days of my London adventures brought shopping, lots of shopping.
Especially in the form of Topshop shopping!

As corny as it may sound, Topshop on Oxford Circus is one of my favourite places. The visual merchandising, the styling, the incredible displays, the CLOTHES...you get the picture yeah?

So I managed a nice haul of goodies from Topshop, some treats from MAC, and a few bargains from Zara.

We also made it our mission to hire the London Bikes and take a cycle around hyde park. It was so much fun. Literally taking a bike from one docking station and leaving it back whenever you wanted to another station. I felt like a kid at Christmas, racing around the roads, speeding down hills, wind in hair it was brilliant!

That brought our lil holiday to a close and back home to Ireland but boy did we have fun!

Hyde Park

Day 3 saw us wander off towards Camden Market, one of my favourite places for picking up little fun, unique bits and bobs. I picked up a gorgeous blazer with studded lapel from a little vintage pop up store that I adore. I will be featuring it very very soon. After Camden we headed for the city centre, and to say we walked the WHOLE of London is no exaggeration!!! Interrupted bus services and Olympic torch runs meant we were walking...everywhere! No matter it was great fun and we retired to Hyde Park that evening.

Portobello

Day 2 of our London adventures (my best friend, Aoife and I) consisted of straying into the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, if you must, for a ramble around the famous Portobello Market.
Glorious sunshine and lots of lovelies to look at we bagged ourselves a few authentic treasures and graded our adventure a success.

We ventured out to Westfield Shopping Centre (the largest shopping centre Europe has to offer) in search of a few bargains, a nice dinner and quality tea and chats.
We surely hit the bargain jackpot in Urban Outfitters - when going to pay for our items, the charming fellow serving us informed us that it was 'buy one get one free' - WINNING!
Nonetheless we each cam out with two items and paid only £10!

As I mentioned the day was an absolute scorcher so I wore this floral dress. Can't believe I haven't featured it before because it is certainly one of my go-to items all year round.
I accessorized with heavy gold accessories and coral espadrilles.

Leinster Square

So I return, after a quiet stint of lack of posting - life does get busy sometimes.
However I am back and with good news and lots to blog about.

Fresh off the plane, I was in London for the past five days where the atmosphere is electric, the Olympics in full swing and the shops stocked to the brim with niceties (of which I raided and scored some serious treasures!)

I love London. So lovely and exciting full of creative beings and eccentric fashions. Really inspirational  when it comes to street style - boy was I dizzy from looking at every second person walking by in all their quirkiness.
That is what I love, the individuality, the commotion and the vibrant atmosphere of the busy city.

From market hunting to high street hoarding, we did it all, and walked hundreds of miles (or so it felt) whilst doing so.
