Writings on the Wall

So this may not be a 'style' specific post but my goodness did I stumble upon a wonderland today.
A graffiti wonderland that is.
A creative hub for urban art, this collection of murals was just a segment of what I witnessed in an inner city Dublin car park.
Yes, a car park!
It was breath-taking.
And of course I had to take photos.
Admittedly my mind started racing as to when I could revisit this graffiti heaven, and I really, really, really want to use it as a backdrop for an upcoming fashion shoot!!!
Let the planning commence.

An Ode to the Superwoman

I shall keep this post short and sweet.
They do say a picture speaks a thousand words, here are 16!
Versace Haute Couture collection which sashayed down the catwalk this week.
So powerful yet so serenely feminine.
The perfect balance between the dominant independent woman and all that is pretty and womanly in the world.
Bold angles and sharp cuts, simplistic staunch high ponytails contrasted beautifully with elegant, sheer materials, floral prints and shimmering heavenly shades.
Karlie Kloss does add to my swoon too...
Two words - I LOVE!

Wishful thinking: Inspiration Post #1

Do you ever get to the stage of reading whats seems like millions of fashion blogs, magazines, viewing photo galleries, mood boards...the list goes on...and still you have NOTHING to blog about?

It seems strange being so immersed in the creative world of clothing yet so removed from updating you last blog post.
Writers block, you are a divil!

So instead of resigning myself from the blogging world, I have taken the initiative to do a bit of an inspiration post/lust list update.

Low and behold, my new found fancies:

I know I have posted this beauty before, but alas I would be homeless if I was to take the plunge and by it...rent comes first! (ASOS)

In love with all neck pieces, bejeweled and chunky. This one vintage Chanel...I can dream

Loving the new tribal inspired lines of the moment, toughened with black biker jacket yet a romantic touch with a rose cropped shirt (Nastygal)

Turquoise stones pop on a nude, minimalistic palette - I'm hooked (Nastygal)

Layering bracelets is so refreshing and with an array of colours as featured on Aimee Song's arm, brighten up any dark outfits

I actually have this pink jumper (Zara) and coincidently I wore it last week upon starting my new course with black disco pants, my hair in a top know, somewhat similar to Chiara Ferragni (lookbook.nu)

I have just embarked upon a fashion styling course with LA Make Up Academy here in Dublin.
I am so excited about it and so far so good it is exceeding my expectations.
Watch this space for regular updates, photoshoots and styling.

Also, my main inspiration boards can be found here on Pinterest, follow me if you like what you see!

A True Master

What does it take to be the best? What sets you apart from the rest of the pack? What is it that makes magic a stark reality? What makes you the master of your trade?

Questions of success, questions that any individual will ask themselves to be the best that they can be. In the world of fashion, they are extremely relevant. What determines one persons talent over another? (If anyone has the answers, you can send them my way.)

You may ask what has sparked this inquisitive confrontation.
The answer, Patrick Demarchelier.

Above are some of his works of art depicting Dior haute couture as featured in the new book Dior Couture. Decadent shots, glorious images, wistful surroundings and magnificent fashion, Demarchelier is truly the master of his passion.

I can't put my finger on one exact reason as to what makes him the best.
He just is.
His work is magic.
For that he must be acclaimed.

Absolutely Rosie

I think it appropriate to kick off the new blogging year with the World's Sexiest Woman, Rosie Huntington-Whitely.
Forgive me for not posting about her sooner, goodness knows I have been swooning over her work since forever ago, but alas, the hot babe in all her glory!

I love this editorial which is featured in the February issue of UK's Harpers Bazaar, photographed byTom Munro.

Natural glamour, an innocent alluring sexiness, and an authentic sixties twist make this breathtaking spread.

Very Hollywood, very Marilyn Munroe, very classic.
